7 Holiday Entertainment Essentials

Do you find yourself often playing hostess during the holiday season? Whether it’s for work events, neighborhood parties, or family gatherings there is a lot to do, and not always a lot of time to plan and prepare. To help make it a little bit easier for you, we’ve rounded up a list of entertaining essentials sure to make your party one to remember!

Hors d’oeuvres

If you’re not having a full meal, appetizers are necessary to keep guests satisfied throughout the night. Serve them on our Takara risers ($34.00-$56.50) for a beautiful tabletop display. Try chef Ina Garten’s easy, yet delicious baked brie for a mouthwatering party pleaser. It only takes 5 minutes to prep and 7 to cook!

To serve with your appetizers, what’s better than a perfectly paired glass of wine? Help your guests enjoy themselves and spark conversation. Use our adorable and colorful Alpine ornaments ($13.50) as wine charms, so your guests can remember which glass is theirs!

Keep a lively atmosphere with the lovely background noise of some seasonal tunes. Try Michael Bublé’s Christmas album for a easy-listening, cabaret style experience.

If you’re serving a more formal or large dinner, it is appropriate to have assigned seats. Try our Alpine reindeer ($18.00) for an adorable placeholder that guests will love. Add some height to the table with our Alpine trees ($13.50) and use our Alpine ornaments ($13.50) as festive napkin rings.

Set the mood with elegant lighting. The metallic finish of our Fractal candleholder ($7.00) gives the perfect glow for any setting.

While it’s not necessary and depends on the setting, added entertainment can be sure to bring some life to the party!  Do a white elephant gift exchange, or play a fun game. We love this new game called Mixtape, the "card game that pairs songs with life experiences" (available for purchase here). You’ll be sure to have fun AND get a little competitive.
