4 Simple Ways to Personalize Your Holiday Decor

Mixing things up a little for Christmas this year? Feeling fun and crafty? Good, so are we! At Design Ideas, we have a variety of seasonal items that could add some personal flair to your home this holiday season.

1. Natural Alpine Reindeer*: When snowed in, get out some paints and let your little ones do some decorating of their own! Displaying these finger painted wood animals can be a personal touch that you and your kids can show off to company visiting during the holidays. Add a pom pom nose, googly eye and red felt scarf to really bring the character to life.

2. Red Alpine Reindeer: Grab a brush tip sharpie and either trace or (if you are confident) write a word or two onto the body of the reindeer. Just a few ideas: your family's last name, a welcome sign, or the name of a dish that you are debuting at a party. We have these festive fellows in many sizes so you can add a personalized touch to your mantle, shelf or counter.

3. Festive holiday characters: these adorable miniature characters could make an appearance on your table or spice up your tree for an upcoming holiday gathering. Whether you use them as place card holders, part of your centerpiece display, or as the final touch on your table settings, these cute characters are sure to add that little touch that your guests never saw coming.

4. Ornaments: Our ornaments don't just have to hang on your tree. Use our Alpine ornaments as wine markers (we all have that one family member/friend who could benefit from this) or even as a thoughtful addition to a wrapped gift.
