Calling All Design Ideas!
Because new designs are so important to us, we would like to encourage both professional and aspiring designers to submit suggestions for new products or improvements to our current designs. We are especially looking for products that fit into the following categories:
- Desk Accessories
- Waste Cans
- Candleholders
- Vases
If you have an idea that you think fits the profile for a fun, functional, fashionable and affordable Design Ideas product, please download the .pdf file of our Outside Submission Agreement, read and sign it, and fax or email it back to us along with your 3-D concept drawing (sketches and computer illustrations are acceptable in .jpg or .pdf formats). Design Ideas will pay a royalty on any design we decide to produce.

Design Ideas is a fast-paced product design firm located in Springfield, Illinois. We design and manufacture home and office accessories for the world to enjoy. Our growing company sells to retailers around the globe, such as Target, Crate & Barrel, Bed Bath & Beyond, Staples, and thousands of independent stores.

Receptionist
We are currently seeking a Receptionist to work in our Customer Service Department. Our receptionist will be the first person to greet guests that come into Design Ideas. He/she will be responsible for greeting and signing in all company visitors and helping to meet their needs in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for directing callers to the appropriate people within the company as well as general office tasks such as sorting incoming mail and faxes, sending daily mailings, and working on projects for various departments throughout the company. Design Ideas is very faced paced and candidates must be able to learn new tasks quickly in order to excel in this position. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong attention to detail, an upbeat demeanor and great attendance. It is also important that candidates enjoy customer service because, bottom line, that is what Design Ideas is all about. Warehouse Worker
Our warehouse workers work as a team to prepare merchandise for shipment to our customers. The projects they work on can involve product assembly, quality inspections, labeling, packaging, and product repair. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, experience working on a team to meet deadlines, a consistent work background, an excellent attendance record, and a desire to please the customer. Candidates must also be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
