Design Ideas® Announces Partnership with World Trade Center United
Family Group
for sales of its new Doodles® Destinations icon.
Springfield, IL (December 19, 2005) – Design Ideas® is expanding its popular collection of Doodles® Destinations, hand-made wire sculptures of miniaturized world icons, to include six new styles for 2006. Particularly noteworthy is the new Doodles® Destinations Twin Towers icon. Design Ideas® will donate 10% of each Doodles® Destinations Twin Towers sale to the World Trade Center United Family Group (WTCUFG).
The Doodles® Destinations Twin Towers will be on display in Design Ideas® showrooms and at various trade show locations across the U.S. during January 2006.

“The WTCUFG and the September 11th community we serve are grateful for Design Ideas®’ willingness to contribute to our cause,” said Anthony Gardner, executive director and founder of the Group. “The image of the Twin Towers has become an icon symbolizing the horror our nation endured, those we lost, courage and our nation's resolve.”
Gardner founded his nonprofit community in September 2001 after his brother, Harvey Joseph Gardner III was killed in the attacks. Comprised of September 11th families, survivors and rescue workers from all over the United States and the world, it was built on the principles of trust and shared experience and serves as a living tribute to the thousands of innocent men, women and children lost in the attacks. As the fifth anniversary of the tragic event approaches, the Group strives to maintain its goals of providing emotional support to one another, protecting the legacy and memory of the victims of the September 11th attacks, ensuring an authentic perpetuation of the historic events and promoting civic participation within their community and the general public. To pass the legacy on to future generations, the Group is currently developing a September 11th high school level curriculum on the attacks.
