Springfield, IL (June 19, 2005) –The innovative company Design Ideas® is always looking for new ways to add to their multitude of fun, functional, fashionable, and affordable products, but the most recent addition to their list of credentials is charitable. Design Ideas® is pleased to announce partnerships with three charities for their GelGems® Ribbon Donation Program. Five percent of sales from each GelGems® Ribbon Kit will support The Breast Cancer Recovery Foundation (BCRF) and breast cancer healing and recovery, the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) and AIDS/HIV awareness, or The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes and disabled or injured U.S. war veterans. The ribbons come in pink, red, yellow, and a patriotic red white and blue. In addition, Design Ideas® is encouraging its retailers to contribute an additional five percent of their ribbon sales to the selected charities.

Andy Van Meter, president of Design Ideas®, is pleased with the way the program has taken off. “Design Ideas® is proud to show its support of these important charities,” said Mr. Van Meter. “We hope that our new ribbon GelGems® will help to raise awareness of these charities and will show people that you can still have fun while helping a good cause.” The GelGems® Ribbons will be featured and on display in seven Design Ideas® showrooms across the nation this summer, where additional information regarding the program and the charities will be available. The product website, www.gelgems.com, has also been updated to provide consumers with information on where to buy the ribbons and links to the charities’ websites, as well as to highlight the retailers who are participating in the program.
